I have heard hundreds of mission statements over the years and have found myself asking the following questions:
1) Is the mission Real?
2) Does the mission represent the entire purpose of an organization or project are just one part?
3) What does the mission mean? I don't have a clue what this organization does?
4) Does the mission effect one person place or thing or an entire community?
The best mission I have read in years is: from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mantee County - Florida
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
